What is a Project Workspace?
Each project on Invent.sg has its own dedicated workspace—a comprehensive file system that organizes all your documents, drafts, references, and AI collaboration outputs throughout the innovation lifecycle.
Think of it as your project's central hub, intelligently structured to support you from initial discovery through patent filing and commercialization. The workspace grows with your project, automatically organizing content by innovation phase and session type.
Three Core Areas
Workspace
Numbered slots (00001, 00002, etc.) for active work. Contains workspace, transcripts, and translations folders.
Share
Public projects with project ID + release. Includes workspace (vault/results) and translations. Transcripts stay private.
Archive
Completed projects with project ID + release. Frees slots. Retains workspace, transcripts, translations, custom, logs.
Slots vs IDs: Active projects use numbered slots that can be reused. Shared and archived projects use permanent project IDs with release identifiers.
Privacy: Transcripts are NEVER shared publicly. Agent learning (custom) and system logs remain private.

1. Create Project
Start with a goal-based template (patent filing, startup pitch, R&D documentation, etc.). Folder structure created automatically.
2. Active Development
Collaborate with AI agents, organize files by phase and session type, track versions, and build your innovation documentation.
3. Share
Make your work public or share with specific collaborators. Free tier projects auto-share after 7 days.
4. Archive (Optional)
Move completed projects to archive to free up project slots. Archived projects can be restored anytime.
5. Delete
Remove projects you no longer need. 30-day recycle bin for soft deletes, or permanent deletion with confirmation.
