Find the useful problem
Brainstorming, QUESTION and a clear concept statement.
FocusInventor Community · Singapore
A practical meetup series for people turning ideas into evidence, prototypes, businesses and protectable inventions.
Why meet
Not another pitch night. Every meetup helps inventors make visible progress on one real idea, and leave with a concrete next step.
Arrive with an idea, a problem, a mechanism or a decision that genuinely needs work.
Use structured prompts, peer experience and invited specialists to move it forward.
Capture assumptions, findings, introductions and the next experiment or research task.
Repeatable format
The format stays the same every month, so the community can concentrate on the ideas rather than on learning a new event structure.
Meet inventors, founders, makers and specialists around the month's shared theme.
One inventor frames a real question, without turning it into a pitch.
Small groups take it apart using a QUESTION prompt, the available evidence and hard-won practical experience.
Share what changed, what remains uncertain and what should happen next.
Record one action, one useful connection and one follow-up date.
schedule Ninety minutes, five moves, one idea further on
Six-meetup starter cycle
You can join any session on its own. Inventors who follow the cycle see how the pieces connect, and no session assumes you attended the last one.

ExecuteShare thoughtfully
Bring only what you are comfortable discussing in a room of people. When an invention is sensitive, work with an anonymised example or a higher-level version of the question: the circle can still help you.
invent.sg is not a law firm and the meetups are not a substitute for a patent attorney, a patent agent or any other professional adviser.
Founding community sponsor
We are looking for one established Singapore founder or maker community to launch this with. The partnership can begin with a venue, community access and co-promotion: cash sponsorship is optional.
No sponsor has been secured yet. The founding place is open, and we would rather start with three good meetups than a long calendar.
